Amber Valley Dental Practice

Absolutely brilliant dentist. I almost enjoy going, and I bet not many people say that about dental visits?

Used this practice for some years always a calm and relaxing atmosphere and very professional

Worst dental surgery I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. For several months they had no manager, the dentists were rude (one called Ruth was particularly awful) and didn't have half the equipment they needed most of the time (running from room to room with drills, etc). The anaesthetic didn't work until you'd driven home and the work that I had done (mostly unnecessary it turned out) is now costing me thousands to attempt to put right. To make matters even worse, I'm 100 convinced that I paid for many more sessions than I actually got. When I enquired about this I was told that I was wrong but bank statements don't lie. There aren't many people I'd send here, hopefully things have improved, I'm not brave enough find out. Go literally anywhere else if you can helpafford it. It's a shame as the reception staff were always lovely. ---------- Can't reply on here so I added an edit. I didn't cancel any appointments, they were cancelled by the staff, usually just as I was getting ready to head over. I'm glad to hear that the whole management and dentist team have changed. I didn't attend my last appointment purely due to having lost all faith in the practice after several terrible experiences. I can only hope that the dentist I mentioned has since found another profession, preferably one that doesn't involve speaking to anyone.

I had my first appt at Amber valley today for a scale and polish. I was booked with Abigail and her lovely assistant and they were so so amazing. I was quite nervous as it was my first hygienist appt in a long while but they both made me feel at ease and comfortable. It took around 20mins for the full consult treatment. I talked through any concerns and my aim to remove some staining from my teeth (from tea coffee likely) and I could not believe the results. It was pain free and I left smiling a little brighter so happy. The practice itself was lovely, the staff were all so friendly and 55 experience. Thanks so much to the team

I have always had a huge dislike of going to the dentist, but the lovely team there as so nice, Im still not total relaxed when I go, but I feel much better about going now I have found this practice.
