Holloway House Dental Surgery

Every single time I visit the practice I couldn't be more impressed. From front of house to the dental practitioners themselves. During today's visit they placated a rather rude and inconsiderate patient by being totally delightful and accommodating. I required a dental extraction today - thoroughly professional service - as always. Thank you, as always.

Avoid at all costs

Had an extraction today the dentist was called George, was very impressed quick and efficient and very sympathetic.

13 years ago Holloway was good, the people were friendly, efficient, you saw the same dentist every time. I was happy then. Now its disastrous, a lot of staff turnover, nothing like it was. I really could write a book on this place but the internet is only so big. Heres one example I had a terrible tooth pain and a discharge that were making me feel like death warmed up. They said ooohh, you have an abscess but the hospital should do it The hospital said, No, you (Holloway) should do it. So Holloway said to me ah, actually, you dont have an abscess So I said but you said I had an abscess They said no we didnt Stonewalled So I went somewhere else privately, and straight away, at no great cost, the tooth that admittedly presented a challenge and sounded under the pliers like a creaking galleon, was competently removed. They showed it to me, complete with the poison that Holloway presumably wanted me to live with. My guess is that Holloway were scared to do it. So after that Im not risking my health at Holloway any more. Im also not prepared to be deafened in the waiting room by the incessantly vibrating dehumidifier thats been running non stop for at least 13 years, a sign that they still obviously havent fixed the damp in there. Something else whilst Im at it George, dentist, ought to think about wearing a hygiene mask when hes leaning over people. Sometimes when hes talking its like being in the rain. Oh the joy of finally being away from there.

Get sent for emergency treatment, they were very calm, patient. I got seen very quickly despite me turning up late. They removed my tooth instantly. This was the first time Id ever had to have anything done to my teeth, apart from a filling as a child. First time Id been in by myself and so amazed with the treatment I was given and the explanation before they did anything. I didnt get the ladies name but she kept me calm and kept checking I was ok, anaesthetic hadnt worked so instantly gave me more and made sure I was comftable. Really impressed. If it wasnt a hour or so drive Id 100 make this my full time dentist.

Amazing dental surgery. Got an appointment fast for an emergency treatment. All staff very warm and professional. No complaints from me.

Highly recommend dental practice, very friendly and down to earth staff and very professional at what they do and explaining things. Gone in for a root canal and I can deffinitly say it is the best dentist I have ever been to around the area. Thank you

This is a truly wonderful surgery, it has a friendly atmosphere and the environment in an old cottage makes you relax as if youre visiting someone rather than being in a surgery. I managed to get 3 appointments booked straight away as an emergency which has saved a very old tooth. Cannot say how grateful I am. The experience was a good one and much thanks to Janani and her colleagues for the superb work on my tooth. Very skilled friendly and knowledgeable. The receptionists are kind and welcoming, very helpful too which means a lot at the dentists. I highly rate this surgery!! Thank you

I had an extraction as an emergency at this practice, I found the dentist and her assistant kind courteous and professional. I have a phobia and only went because I was in considerable pain. After being treated so well Im considering registering as a private patient. Money matters less when you experience great service.

Holloway House is a fantastic dental surgery and I couldn't recommend them enough. I recently had a dental emergency and they got me in the same day and the wisdom teeth was out in minutes. Couldn't ask for a better service. The Reception team are always super polite and always make you feel welcome as well as put your mind at rest as let's face it dentists can be a nerve wracking place! Thank you Holloway House!

I had got my teeth checked a week ago since 2 years. Dr. Jan undertook Hygiene(Scale and Polish). It's been a great experience from the team at Holloway House Dental Surgery. Hope to see you again very much appreciate your hygiene service and also grateful to have an NHS Dentist in Minehead.

Had to have emergency dentist, was sent here. Have extreme dental anxiety, they were so lovely and done everything to care and make me comfortable. Excellent clinic very clean, staff are amazing and welcoming.

I was recommended to Hollway house Dental surgery by my neighbours and thrilled to have found an NHS dentists taking on new clients. I have received gentle care and kindness as a very nervous patient, for every treatment I received and I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Divya to anyone.

Got an emergency next day appointment for a troublesome tooth. Arrived on time and was seen almost immediately, the tooth was extracted painlessly and efficiently. Including an inspection I cannot have been in the chair for more than 15 minutes. With friendly staff I can recommend this practise - and still in the NHS!!

Recently joined them on NHS. They were quick to get me a check up the next day. My dentist and her dental nurse were lovely. The room was clean and I felt welcomed and at ease in knowledgeable hands. I will need an extraction and sadly the waiting list for this is long, so it'll be a bit of a wait. Lovely helpful people. the waiting room could do with a spruce up as first impressions can help put people at ease, but what's important is the treatment and that was all I needed it to be. Been looking for a dentist for a year and was so relieved when Holloway house took us on as patients. They were quick to give us the check up appointment and within 24hr we had a treatment plan. Our dentist and her assistant were so friendly and welcoming making us feel very relaxed. Would recommend to anybody who is looking for a dentist. Because of how busy they are and how many people they're trying to get treated the waiting list for root canals or extractions is long but I'm so grateful for them and their kindness and patience

George snapped my tooth trying to extract it then lied to me about what happened so I had to pay to have a real dentist remove it 6 weeks later.
