Marlborough road dental practice is the best dentist around. The staff are excellent and go out of their way to help you especially Jo Bevin the receptionist she is worth her weight in gold. She is most helpful and nothing is too much trouble for her. Lovely lovely lady

Receptionist informed me that there were two no shows when I called for a hygiene appointment this week I didn't attend one of them, and I canceled the other. I said okay fair enough when Toni Spear the practice manager called to clarify the no-show from the previous year. I don't have a digital record of canceling that, but I'm disputing the second no-show. Where do I start? Active-aggressive behavior has been used to suggest dishonesty on my part, while also attempting to maintain professionalism by stating that she would look into the matter with her IT department to find out why it wasn't received and "why the cancellation email was the only one that wasn't received." This kind of snarky behavior is not something I appreciate. When I initially called, the receptionist also had an awful attitude. I was informed that the next appointment would require a 50 deposit in addition to a 30 no-show fee for the two prior appointments. I agreed to pay 15 as a no-show fee for the first appointment last year when we spoke on the phone because I would have been at fault, but I will never be willing to pay 30 in total, including the second one. The reason why I suggested 15 is because they tried to charge me 30 no show fee for the 1 hygiene appointment in August which I've cancelled. Toni also said the last year's one was overlooked as a "goodwill gesture" so why am I now trying to be charged for this year's appointment if I cancelled it? Toni attempted to accuse me of lying in an indirect manner, even though I've been willing to pay a deposit for the next appointment as a guarantee as to which she refused. Since that phone call, I've sent her an email with a screenshot clearly showing the date and timestamp on when I've cancelled the appointment this year, the one she tried to charge me a no show fee for. Toni pretty much avoided the reason of why I sent the email in the first place with a small line in the end "thank you again for sending the email trail" and not even one apology since I've shown proof I've indeed sent the email to cancel the appointment? Her response was just utter avoidance of the issue and more focused on irrelevant matters giving me typical sentences like a social media manager would. Yes okay I do understand the signifcance of no shows but the one she's trying to charge for I've already cancelled via email and showed proof so what was the need to say that in the email? I don't need to know the significant impact as it's NOT relevant to the issue. I have CANCELLED and got it in writing so this is YOUR problem and doesn't apply to me. As a result, my family and I will be going to another practice. I would prefer not to return since I don't appreciate this kind of behaviour and will not tolerate it at all. I also wouldn't expect to be treated with respect the next time I visit. To be clear, your hygienist and dentist are outstanding but the management and reception staff are absolutely appalling. Stinking attitude, dodgy business practice and I'd suggest everyone to go elsewhere. She was absolutely glad to see my email stating the above and removed me and my 3 other family members off their records as requested. And guess what? She even dropped a snarky "We wish you all the best for the future and also in finding a new practice that aligns with your expectations and needs." to pretty much tell me to F off but without actually saying it. Issues with staffreceptionists seem to be a common theme here, have a look at the past reviews from other patients before even stepping foot in there!

Been attending this surgery for decades and the staff are always phenomenally kind, prepared, organised and greet us with a smile. Our new dentist Ben is absolutely fabulous and we are so grateful for the care patience he shows my young daughter and I.

Nothing was explained to me about prices and how moving from a child NHS patient to a private patient worked leading to a misunderstanding. However I was made to feel like this was fault and was spoken to harshly by a receptionist and told to take my review down. I feel like this definitely could have been dealt with better.

Having had a phobia of the dentist for almost 3 decades, my wife recommended I try her new dentist at the time, Robert Gill. Suffering pain daily I took the plunge and met Rob who instantly put me at ease. Despite requiring a whole host of treatments from scale and polish to individual tooth extraction, not only am I now pain free but my faith in dental practitioners has slowly but surly been restored. Over the last 23 years, Rob has stabilised the issues I had and we were finally at the stage where we were making things look cosmetically better. Then came the bomb shell. Rob is now leaving the practice for pastures new. To say I am gutted would be an understatement. Realising its against policy to disclose robs new location and practice I today met the new dentist Imogene. After talking to her about my past concerns and fears, Imogene was extremely understanding and compassionate and after a brief examination has put my mind at ease once again providing both honest and highly professional care. I could never thank rob enough for all he has done for me over the years and I will genuinely miss him. I hope he goes on to succeed in the industry and Marlborough dental care has lost a wizard and a true gentleman. Equally, after todays examination with Imogene, it seems they have gained another star in the making and despite feeling quite sad about robs departure, I look forward to getting to know Imogene and have full faith she will continue with highest of standards set by Rob (no pressure Imogene). Id like to take this opportunity to thank rob and all the team from the bottom of my heart for everything youve done and continue to do. You have literally changed my life. We will Miss you rob, all the very best for the future from myself and all the family. Damon

Wanted to write a review to say how friendly everyone is, from our dentist Rob, who is amazing, also Chloe, and to Jo, the receptionist, she is so helpful, cheerful, and caring, a rarity nowadays, and is an asset to your dental practise. Many thanks Sharon latham.

I ashamedly hadn't been to the dentist for 16-17 years due to fear and the association of dentists and pain. I had to face that fear earlier this week, following a week of toothpain and a suspected abcess. I approached Marlborough Dental Practice and felt immediately reassured by the lovely receptionists who I found to have a warm and caring nature, and quickly arranged the next possible appointment for me. As it was my first time in a dentist in so long, I had anxieties over how I'd be received. Some of those anxieties quickly dissolved as I was made to feel more than welcome, and listened to. I can't thank them enough for making the whole experience less daunting. I was seen by a truly wonderful dentist called Imogen and her equally wonderful assistant. After a crippling fear of what was to come, I was quickly reassured and received a thorough examination and clean. Some concerns I had were alleviated, and I know what I need to do to get back on top of regular dental hygiene and maintenance which has eased my mind going forwards. I honestly couldn't of asked for a better experience and I thank you all so much for your help, and each doing your part to help me overcome my fear. If anyone reading this can relate to my situation before approaching Marlborough Dental Practice and have been stuck with anxieties over dental health, I would strongly recommend taking the first step, as I have done, and begin the road back to better dental hygiene. If I've managed to take that first step, I'm sure anyone can.

Such a relief to find a local dentist. Despite our lack of tech expertise, we couldnt complete the online forms, we were welcomed by the ladies on reception who were friendly and reassuring. The dentist, Imogen, was also friendly and professional . We both felt safe and comfortable during our examinations. We have been given all the information we need to decide on the level of care we want. The premises were clean and bright. I wish wed gone to Marlborough Dental Surgery years ago.
