Doctor Seun Sulaiman was really efficient and amazing and handled my patient anxiety very well. He did such a good job. I would recommend him to anyone!

Booked an appointment, on the day they informed me, only after I turned up that I couldn't have the second half of the appointment because they were short staffed. 2 months later I booked another appointment, I was asked to pay before coming in, so I did, but I didn't pay a full 24 hours before the appointment so they had cancelled it. When I asked for a refund they told me it's going to take 28 days

I went to this dentist for the first time yesterday - from start to finish I had a good experience all round. The dental surgeon herself was fantastic. She talked me through all the steps, the different nhs price bands and even went through my X-rays with me to show me what needed doing. After experiencing a bad dentist trip in the past with a private dentist (not this surgery) I was super anxious about going to a new dentist. She made me feel calm and relaxed and talked me through everything she was doing and I personally wouldnt go anywhere else now. The receptionists were also very helpful and welcoming. Thank you

The female receptionist is very very rude - told me I would be taken off books of I didnt book next appointment also. My partner was rudely spoken about also, while she sat waiting to be greeted- the rude receptionist told her younger male colleague, that she was late and how she would have a word with her when she arrived. My partner was disgusted. To have this type of person on a customer facing front of house role is attrocious. It is a real shame as the dentists are great as well as the hygienists - just a little keen to try and upsell treatments you while in the chair... stings of profiteering tbh. Since previous review- 2 cancelled bookings . Treatment prices which seem to be made up on the spot and differ everytime you speak to someone different. Up front costs demanded. Receptionist laughing at my questioning the newly hugely inflated price hikes. Very very dismissive manner even from NEW dentist. As soon as I can change I will be leaving this practice. The absolute pits. So a year later and YET again 50 minutes late for check up and a week later 45 mins late for hygienist appointment. The place is even worse than previous review. New rude dentist and staff arguing openly in reception absolutely unreal.

Left me with a high filling after the dentist did a sloppy job and didn't check bite or alignment of my teeth. Went back multiple times to try and get it fixed because I was in a lot of pain, ended up with a big hole in my tooth and part of tooth crumbling away due to their treatment. Had to go to a private dentist to get it fixed. After attending the private dentist I realised how shoddy my experience at Southcliff was - at the private dentist they took multiple xrays and found lots of issues that had been missed by Southcliff. It also took them 40 minutes to do each filling, whereas at Southcliff they rush you in and out and you are done in 15 minutes, because they are not doing a good job.

Stay well away for this dentist they are useless and don't even listen I book to get an extraction and two fillings. Turn up to my appointment to get told there only doing the fillings witch is not the main cause of my problem to why I'm in so much pain as I have a tooth growing at an angle in to my other tooth. Then they have the cheek to say why didn't I book for the extraction when I did and said it about 100 times even ask after they booked me in that was definitely for the extraction and she couldn't even give me a straight answer. So I ask for a refund for what I have paid already as they are quick enough to take the payment to get told its a long process and that I have to email them. So anyone thinking of using this dentist stay clear and look elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs. Booked for an emergency and then upsell other services. Book another appointment for the emergency service only to be told they haven't booked me in for that only the upsell. Had to wait in pain for week for an appointment only for them to tell us we didn't book the correct appointment with the receptionist on arrival. Now they are being awkward about the refund so I think a complaint to the NHS is our next course of action. Just avoid them. Better off with a hammer and some whiskey..

My dentist cancelled my appointment half an hour before the scheduled time, I was none the wiser until I arrived. Since then have been trying to reschedule and have spent a total of 2 hours on hold and never once reached the receptionist yet somehow am always number 1 in queue? Takes the absolute mick. Receptionists are also insanely rude.

Vary rude receptionists, and dont pay attention to the customers

Very poor attention to customer, always fast and cutting you while you speak. There's one dentist who is actually nice, but I don't remember her name, everyone else should take a course on how to deal with people. The dental checks are worryingly fast, last time I went it lasted less than 5 minutes and I was immediately asked to pay and book my next appointment. No thanks, not with that service. And now that I unregistered from this dentist I'm still getting emails and texts about availability, even after I called twice to ask them to stop (and waited for long to get the phone picked up). I strongly don't recommend this dentist.

There should be a 0 star option because if anyone deserves 0 stars, Its Southcliff Dental in Moulsecoomb. They say leave 2 days notice if any cancellations occur, but when I tried to cancel, it took 4 hours, no-one picked up the phone, and when I was no1 (because everyone before me clearly hung up from the frustration) they hung up and forced me into voice message. And this was 40 minutes after they supposedly opened up from their lunch break. Now, if this mistake, which was on them, cost me a suspension as an NHS patient, I will be taking a course of action. Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. I am considering leaving this dentist. I highly encourage everyone to leave them until they go out of business because they do not care about their patients.

Update Refund finally issued after I emailed associated branches in the same group and posted the below review. I won't be going back to the Moulsecoomb branch. Possible other South Cliff sites are in a better state. --- I had a hygienist appointment cancelled on 45 minutes notice in July. Since then I've called a dozen times, left three voicemails and sent three emails to try and get a refund... with no response. If I get a response I will update this review. Until then, I suspect this dentists surgery in complete crisis, unable to provide even the most basic customer service. AVOID.

Im disgusted! A missed app due to the loss of a family member and my chronic disability were described as my poor judgements by the receptionist (seemingly the only one!) and I was stricken from the service. She refused to lat me make a complaint or speak to anyone else at the time or since- Ive called back several times always her. I provided proof of this at the time but was told I am no longer able to access services. They have no practise manager and dont even have an actual dentist currently only dental nurses and hygienists. I am in the process of making a formal complaint but am left with no help and dental work that needs doing- writing this review and making a complaint are things I need help with due to my disability but I dont think anyone should be spoken to that way whilst grieving.

Had an absolutely awful and genuinely traumatising experience with their Whitehawk clinic (dentist mocked suicidal people and left putty permanently dried into my teeth) that the Coombe Road clinic was unable to make up for in terms of correcting the texture of my teeth. Every dentist at the Moulsecoomb branch pushes me to see a hygienist despite my being a low-income NHS patient. At my last appointment I had to push for a treatment for minor pain that I had received at this practice before (temporary fillings) but there was for some reason no record of said treatment on file so my new dentist was reluctant to repeat it. I had to sort of push her to try it since I didn't want to leave with the pain I came in with and at that point she did an awful job of applying temporary fillings. At first I couldn't even close my teeth together because she applied so much temporary filling, and I left with horribly textured patches of white filling over my teeth instead of in the holes that needed to be filled even after going back in to correct the large lump preventing jaw closure. She would have sent me away without addressing my pain at all, which I specifically went in to treat. She said it was her last day so maybe she just didn't care at that point. I'm stuck here until I can find another NHS dentist but will definitely be seeking a new one since I am so unhappy with the service I've received here. Absolutely terrible communication from the receptionists and it was blamed on a faulty system. No apology for wasting my time either.

Awful service where the reception lady is very rude. Makes you wait months for appointments only for them to cancel last minute, but if you cancel they will definitely have a go at you. 1 of 5 star service. Do better! No excuse!

Avoid. I know its hard to find NHS dentists but avoid this one. Cancelled my appointment . Unfortunately this wasnt within the requested 48hrs but sometimes circumstances just dont allow this. Theyve now removed me as an NHS patient because Ive supposedly cancelled 2 appointments (I havent). This is really unfair. Appreciate short notice cancellations arent ideal- Id happily pay for missing my appointment as I couldnt cancel sooner but people have lives and things come up short notice. Im a paying patient. It was a 10 minute check up- not substantial dental work. Really poor performance. I cannot afford private treatment so Ill now go without.

I had two filings there and both of them are still painful and I had a check up as theyre really painful and they just mentioned nothing is wrong. Finally I asked a professional dentist and he told the filings have not been done properly really disappointing I wasted my time and my money also I was in pain whole this period and even couldnt eat food properly.
