Everyone was so nice and friendly. It was clean and everyone was both masked and gloved! My doctor was funny and personable.

My experience with aspen dental was the most terrible one Ive had with a dentist Ganthry and the receptionist javoni! First off the receptionist is extremely rude, even hung up on me, called me at 7 am to let me know that the dentist wasnt going to call me anything in for pain following a severe painful tooth extraction and I actually think he fractured my jaw! The dentist was very fast talking telling me after care instructions when I have memory loss instead of giving me a print out to take home! He began to numb me with something didnt even tell me what it was, which was with a ver long needle 1 of those reusable ones, I know cause Im a nurse(retired) disabled, and had no mercy with it! It hurt so bad! Then said he would be right back, well yea about a hour later! Then the numbness had started wearing off a little so he squirted some liquid in my tooth, dont know what that was either. Then began yanking on my tooth with pliers so hard until it felt like I was coming off the chair! He said he was going to call in some Tylenol 1000mg and an antibiotic, which I already had an antibiotic at the pharmacy, but didnt call in anything for pain! My entire jaw is hurting severlely and my head feels like its about to explode! I went in last week to have this procedure done as a emergency, but all they did was X-rays and a different dentist looked and said yep you need it pulled, so I had to make this appointment and go several more days without eating because of the pain I was already in! I dont recommend Aspen Dental to my worst enemy!

This place gets a lot of bad reviews but I just went to the Murrells Inlet location and had nothing but a pleasant experience. From the front office to the back technicians, nothing but compassion, thorough and answers any questions. Very nice and affordable. Plus, good with patients that have a fear of dentist.

Avoid at all costs! These people will perform a Shawty dental surgery and leave you with a bad infection and steal your money and then refuse to see you and every time you have an upcoming appointment cancel it the day before or even sometimes the day of. Trust me, theyre much better options for dental care

Scammers. Took over 2000 to repair tooth, kept cancelling my appointments even when in pain and asked not to. It's a year later now, still can't get it fixed. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Filing complaint with better business bureau next, and discussing legal action against these scammers to get back the money they stole off me. I'm only leaving one star as zero is not an option.

I'm a bit on the fence here with this place, not sure how to pursue my next steps, but will probably seek second and third opinions elsewhere. I am individual that takes my teeth seriously. After having like two cavities in my entire life to then getting older and needing a crown, cracked a tooth on a piece of bone in food, and actually had to get an implant...I got even more serious with my teeth. Every 6 months I go for my cleanings, I brush multiple times a day, I floss, and when I can I use my water flosser. I'm not manic, but I do take my teeth seriously. I've moved twice since June this year and being new to the area I was actively seeking a place to go to since I was about 3 months overdue on my cleaning. I was going to entertain an Aspen when I lived up north so I figured I would here since it's walking distance from me now. Of course you couldn't just get a cleaning, it had to be a consult, but it worked out well and I got one. I felt the hygienist was pretty cool, but I too was hit with the "deep cleaning" need and I let it ride (and an extra expense) and was sent home with some after care products for the supposed bacteria that was identified. I didn't go further into it as I had my cleaning as I had wanted. The part that gets me here is the visit from the dentist. I left this place as if I had never taken care of my teeth. I was called out for a number of cavities, fillings he wanted to redo because he didn't like "the way they looked", stated a root canal that I already had needed to be redone, and that I had an abscess. I thought to myself "wow, missed a cleaning by a few months and this is what I get?" Previous to this visit I had been a patient with my office for 20 years. Great team and they take regular x-rays and all. There is absolutely no way, they would have allowed all this. Anyway, Aspen recommended me to an endodontist for a second opinion, but already worked out all my out of pocket expenses ahead of time for all the upcoming procedures. I was surprised and called out that the visit to the Endo was just for a second opinion, so "take it easy" I said. They said I would be fine cause I have great insurance. So, I paid 370 that day when I hadn't paid a cent in 20 years for a cleaning. I went home with my docs and tried to make an appointment with the "recommended" endo they already gave me a referral to. That office came right out and said "We don't take most insurances"...without even asking what I had. I thanked them for their time and hung up. I put the task to the side and figured i'd wait for the new year just to start my search. While on my dental insurance page I did a search for Endo's...the same Aspen has two in house. I literally tilted my head and smirked and thought to myself, "why would they refer me to someone 15 miles down the road that doesn't take most insurances??". So there you have it, that's my experience. Look, I'm not going to bash the place with one star. I got a good cleaning, the x-rays process was thorough, reception was great, checkout was fine, but I did fork out some money and was left to think my mouth was falling apart. So with that roaming around my head, I am just going to seek out second opinions....of which there are PLENTY of in this area. Take my review as you see fit, I didn't add anything extra, but I will not be going back to them for that March appointment.

I was there in April due to a broken lower denture breaking. They treated me kind repaired it and gave me the price of replacing this lower denture as well as the upper. This week the lower denture broke again they refused to repair it and I agreed to buy a new lower plate and also specified I may be interested in purchasing upper and lower dentures The price was over 1300 more than the estimate I was given in April and 1,500 more than Affordable Dentures price

I had an excellent experience today at their Murrells Inlet office. It was my first appointment. They did X-rays on every tooth and a panoramic X-ray. Then I was seen by the dentist and then by the hygienist! They discussed thoroughly what is needed and definitely prepare you for precautionary measures! I will return in a couple of days for a necessary periodontal cleaning! I appreciate their professionalism and thoroughness!
