Beware of Unethical Heartless Practices at Dentists of Irvine. My experience at Dentists of Irvine was frustrating and upsetting, and I feel compelled to warn others. Dr. Eric Scott, as the owner of this practice, should be aware of the unethical and profit-driven behavior happening under his watch. Heres what happened during my visit 1. Insurance Deception I arrived for my 830am appointment on 123124 at 800am, only to be told by Jasmin at the front desk that my insurance wouldnt be effective until 010125. This was false, as I had confirmed with my insurance that coverage began on 120124. She delayed telling me until I have completed my X-rays, Jasmin claimed, without insurance, I just need to pay 50 "special discount". They ended billing my insurance 1,301 for just the x-ray 2. Confusing and Unnecessary Diagnosis A staff member, not a dentist or hygienist, told me I had bone loss. When I asked for details, she vaguely said "all of them," which felt like an attempt to scare me into unnecessary treatments. 3. Pressure for Unneeded Services Dr. Paula checked my fillings and diagnosed me with "early periodontitis," suggesting a deep cleaning. I made it clear I only wanted a routine cleaning. She went to check the availablolilities of the hygienist and confirming my insurance. 4. Continued Pressure Jasmin returned with forms for a deep cleaning, despite my clear request for just a basic cleaning. At this point, I had already been at the office for over 1.5 hours. She left without addressing my concerns. 5. Rude Office Manager Leilani, the office manager, came in to pressure me further into agreeing to the deep cleaning. I reiterated that I only wanted a routine cleaning. She insisted I speak with Dr. Paula. 6. Unbelievable Tactics Dr. Paula confirmed I didnt need a deep cleaning but then shockingly told me they wouldnt perform the routine cleaning unless I agreed to the additional service. I was forced to leave without treatment. After reviewing the bill, I realized that had I given in, my insurance would have been billed 3,684, with me paying an additional 690far more than the simple cleaning I wanted. This office seems solely focused on upselling unnecessary services. Dr. Eric Scott, as the owner, should be aware of these unethical practices happening under his roof. I came to Dentists of Irvine based on a recommendation, but now I see whythis practice is about profit, not patient care. If you're looking for a dentist, find one that values your health over your wallet. Ill be returning to my old, compassionate dentist I didn't want to leave but decided to try new dentist due to change of insurance.

Im generally reluctant to go to the dentist unless its for something urgent, but Dr. Eric Scott and Cristal really took the time to treat me well. Many thanks to them, and Ill definitely be returning after completing my first visit!

Very accommodating . They wanted me to come in earlier and I wasnt able to so they still kept the appt and the staff were caring and attentive to my needs. The dentist made sure I didnt have any pain which was very important to me.

I understand it's a business, but being greedy in the medical field is not acceptable , Over-priced place (your out of pocket after insurance is higher than other places if you pay in full) x-ray every 6 months ( I don't know if insurance will cover that or if they wanted to charge me) Long story short, I learned my lesson and decided to go somewhere else, The clinic is clean and the staff is friendly (it is why I gave 2 stars not one)

I couldnt be more impressed with the care Ive received. From the moment you walk in, the staff is warm, welcoming, and highly professional. The clinic is spotless, and they take all necessary precautions, making you feel completely at ease. Recently, Dr. Paula Echeverry Sandoval repaired my broken tooth using CEREC technology, and the results were fantastic. The entire process was quick, efficient, and I was able to get a perfect custom-made crown in just one visit! Dr. Paula is exceptionally skilled, patient, and attentive, always ensuring my comfort during the procedures. Whether its a routine cleaning or something more complex, I always feel confident Im in great hands. If youre looking for a dentist who genuinely cares about your dental health, amazing staff such as, but not limited to, Carlos, Crystal, and Desiree, I highly recommend Dr. Paula and her fantastic team!

I saw Dr. Paula and she is such a sweet dentist! She was so patient and answered all my questions thoroughly. It was easy to schedule an appointment. The office was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Front office is very disorganized and provides incorrect information. I was told I would receive a quote to a procedure within 2 days, but after submitting all my information (wasting my time), the quote was delayed 2 weeks. Don't count on anything this office tells you until you get it in writing.

Dr. Scott is good, but the office management is terrible. They are always 30 minutes late - why schedule an appointment for 30 minutes earlier if you don't get in until 30 minutes later? This shows poor office management and a disregard for people's time. The front desk staff is unfriendly. I don't understand why their job is so insufferable that they can't smile or be nice.

Dr Eric Scott is an amazing dentist. He cares for my needs and takes time to review my options and explained every procedure. He makes sure I am comfortable. Ive never had a dentist that is more caring and kind. I especially appreciate that he can meet every need from crowns to oral surgery right there in the office. All his staff are friendly, kind and knowledgeable. They have your best care in mind and are great at answering questions and helping me feel well care for and comfortable! Highly recommended for any dental need you may have.

A fantastic group of folks! I've had to have my Night Guard adjusted a few times and they were so helpful every step of the way. A clean and friendly atmosphere!

Dr. Paula was amazing! She did my Saliva test and was able to disinfect and remove some of the bacteria in mouth. You don't know what you don't know couldn't be truer. She recommended for me to replace my existing night guard and the new one fits like a charm! See you in 3 months for my next cleaning and OralDNA test.

I have been going to Dr. Eric Scott for the last few years and I can say, hands down, he and his team are the best. Historically, dental visits have been an anxiety filled, cold, miserable experience. All that changed when I decided to take a chance on the dental office across the street from my home in Woodbridge. From the ladies at the front desk to Carlos the x-ray tech, everyone is warm, welcoming, and friendly. This led me to something I had long thought about but could not fathom actually doing, namely, teeth implants. As of this writing, my brand new implants have given me a new lease on life and the confidence I once lost with my former teeth has returned in the new permanent ones! THANK YOU DOCTOR SCOTT!

Everyone here was fantastic!! The front office staff was very efficient and timely. Dr. Echeverry was very nice and extremely thorough. Best dentist I have ever been to and I will be coming back for sure

Great office, great staff, great doctors.

Everyone that I have encountered from the front desk, assistants, dentists and hygienists have always given me a sense of professionalism and comfort. Facility is clean and well maintained with up to date machinery and tech. Overall Im always in out of there with fresh, clean teeth and all my dental issues resolved. Ive gotten my Osseous surgery and root canal here as well so specialist that work there also practice at the same caliber. 1010 would recommend.
