I cannot accurately put into words the difference Dr. Mita has made in my life. I have maybe the worst dental anxiety.ever? Which has always kept me from going to the dentist, even as my teeth deteriorated and broke. And it snowballed, fear turned to shame and then fear again and my teeth got worse and worse and more painful. Finally, I was experiencing an infection so bad that I ended up in the ER with IV antibiotics with my husband frantically searching emergency dentists in Orange County. We came across Trooth and Smiles and I could immediately tell this place was different based on the vibes of their website. They fit us in immediately for an emergency extraction. I prepared myself for the ultimate judgement and shameful speech of how the heck did you let your mouth get so bad?. But I was met with the opposite warmth, compassion and understanding. Even through my mild panic attack and lots of tears, I never felt like I was being judged. It was the opposite, I felt like they genuinely cared about me and wanted me to feel better. My mouth needs a TON of work, and theres honestly no other dentist Id want to go to. Dr. Mita and all her staff are seriously so warm and inviting and perfect for someone with maybe the worst case of dental anxiety ever. I cannot recommend their dental office in Irvine enough. My adult daughter and my husband are now patients there and Im recommending Trooth and Smiles to everyone I know.

I have extreme dental anxiety due to past unprofessional and traumatizing dental experiences, even though I would consider myself a tough person. I found this dental office through looking online for nearby dental offices that might be "dentist anxiety friendly" and found this place in the search results. I have already been here for 1 deep cleaning on a tooth, and 2 regular dental cleanings, and I actually enjoy going to the dentist now, even with my braces. I leave the office literally feeling like my teeth are really clean, and I like how the dentist seems to really care about giving back to her community here in Irvine. She is also honest straightforward and professional with patients when they first walk in here. The front office are also nice and professional.

I never thought I'd be excited to go to the dentist, but here I am. Dr. Mita and her team are extremely thorough and caring. They explain everything in easy-to-understand terms and give you a breakdown of what to expect prior to your visit. The office is immaculate, has brand-new equipment, and even features TVs on the ceiling. Highly recommend!

I've never seen my teeth like this until now. Its hard to believe I was at a dentists office!

I have been to 3 dental offices in the last couple of years and I think we finally found our family dentist. I have major dental anxiety and need a lot of patience and gentle touches. From the initial x rays (finally not hurt because the tech was so thoughtful to know I have a small mouth) to my recent deep cleaning.. they had a tech pat me during shots- and Yang was extremely gentle and patient making sure I felt as minimal pain as necessary- I had a fuzzy blanket sunglasses- tv, earphones, and a little goodie bag of the good toothbrushes with small bristles. They have only been so patient and gentile with my anxieties. Followed up with me before and after appts if I had any concerns. I recommended to all my friends.

Friendly professional and caring from reception to Dr Mita and everyone in between. Dr spent time prior to exam getting to know me and what I was hoping to accomplish and how I viewed her role in that goal. Dr. Mita is one of the best doctors I've gone to. She is thorough, knowledgeable, considerate, and compassionate, with a genuine desire to help her patients understand their oral health and take it in hand. Her demeanor is genuine and positive, and despite being very busy, I always feel that she gives me her full attention to listen to and answer my questions during our visits. My initial visit with Dr. Mita set the tone, as she did a very thorough examination and then took significant time to evaluate and discuss my current oral health. That experience immediately established a sense of shared awareness and active management that has carried through in subsequent visits. As a patient, that thorough initial visit was so very appreciated, and from then on, I consistently leave my appointments feeling that I have received the best care possible for my oral health. And Dr. Mita is also a genuinely positive force in the community. I found her through Terracycle, as Dr. Mita and her team collect toothbrushes and other oral care items to be sent for recycling, ensuring those plastics get repurposed. It is gestures like this (among many others) that make Dr. Mita and her team stand out in my mind as a force for good in the world they are a team that demonstrates care and consideration on both micro and macro levels. I would hands down recommend Trooth Smiles!

Let me begin by saying I have mostly had horrible traumatic experiences at the dentist, but this place is different. The staff is incredible, and the priority on your comfort is great. I have now had nothing but good experiences ever since coming here. Worth the investment.

By far my favorite dentist yet! SUPER friendly, timely, and thorough, and willing to accommodate my irrational fear of that ultrasonic beasty by doing a manual tooth cleaning where possible. I can't recommend them highly enough.
