Im extremely disappointed with my experience at Familia Dental. Evelyn, the receptionist, was unprofessional and dismissive. Despite my dental emergency, she told me they dont take walk-ins without asking about my situation or providing recommendations for care, even though their website claims otherwise. She refused to give me her managers contact information and kept me on hold for 30 minutes with no resolution. As one of the few clinics in the area that accepts Medicaid, their lack of care and professionalism is unacceptable. Many patients rely on clinics like this because access to dental care is already difficult. We dont need staff who clearly dont want to help patients in this industry. I will be filing complaints with Medicaid, the New Mexico Dental Board, and their corporate office about the unethical treatment I received. I recommend going elsewhere if youre looking for compassionate and professional care.

Staff are friendly. I have a dentist before and they messed up one my teeth and I was kinda having hard time with it because of that. But dentistry really fix it good.

Dentist was very gentle with my 6yr old daughter at her visit and her dental Assistant was very friendly and answered all of my daughters questions in a fun but accurate informative way for her to understand the importance of dental care 10 out of 10 dental office.

Wonderful people, kind, gentle, engaging and they know how to make you feel less afraid of going to the dentist.

Everyone was sooo nice and felt so comfortable in your office. My son felt so comfortable and did not feel scared at all. That is a good thing. The doctor was so sweet and nice and made my son feel at ease. She was great. My first impression was I am glad we went to your office. We did a walk in and were seen right away. Thank you.

I was in such pain was worried if they would take my insurance but they were so wonderful thank you to a of the staff you all are so wonderful I thank you and will be back

Very disappointed. My wife called to see if I could get in for an emergency tooth extracted due to severe tooth pain and we were told the earliest appointment was December - understandable, but then we were told I could come for a drop-in appointment and try for 9am the next day. I drove over from Alamogordo to try to get in and was very grateful that they saw me straight away to perform x-rays and see what needed to be done. After this however, I was told the earliest I could get an extraction was March 29th. Nearly 5 months later. This now means that I cannot even try to go anywhere else as my insurance is now already in use at this facility as I have had the x-rays and initial diagnosis. Anywhere else would now be out of pocket. Also, I have been turned away with excruciating pain with a pain-medication in place of an actual resolution. Its no wonder there is an opioid epidemic in New Mexico if the answer is pain management rather than corrective procedures. Had I known it was months and months out, I would have tried somewhere else. I guess now my only option is thousands of dollars or a pair of pliers. Thanks for nothing.

My daughter has really bad anxiety about going to the dentist, Familia Dental made her feel comfortable and safe, even though they were unable to sedate her. We will return for regular cleanings.

Like a lot of people, I feel very uneasy about going to the dentist but the dr and staff made it very comfortable.
