A Kid's Place Dentistry for Children

I love this place. Dr Kieth McDonald staff have always been great. Very throughly, kind honest. I hate that my oldest aged out but I still have one left. Highly recommend him his crew for your family dentist for your kids.

Dr. Mcdonald and his crew are great! They are always thorough, helpful and patient. One of our son's has moved on to an adult dentist we'll treasure the last few years we have at Dr. McD's office with our younger son.

Weve been with Dr. McDonald since my girls first dentist apt when they were babies. My youngest just aged out and were sad to be moving on. Dr. McDonald is great with my kids, hes chill and relaxed which makes my kids chill and relaxed in the chair. Because of good nature, my daughters were never afraid to go to the dentist. The staff have always been excellent and patient and we really appreciate them. Thank you Dr. McDonald and all the staff!!!

My son has had a great experience at this dental office since he was 5 years old. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making him feel comfortable every time we visit. The facility is clean, modern, and inviting. The dentist provided thoughtful advice about the right time to consider braces, explaining everything clearly and ensuring we fully understood the options and timeline. We always feel well-informed and cared for. I highly recommend this office to anyone seeking a professional and kid-friendly dentist!

My kids have been attending the Renton, WA location since they were babies and now they are teensyoung adults. Dr. McDonald and his staff have taken great care of my kids teeth and has always made us feel comfortable. I love the fact that their office gives parents options of different treatment methods during teeth extractions or any dental procedure instead of making me feel like putting my kids under anesthesia was the only option. My kids trust Dr. McDonald and are always excited for their appointments. The office is clean, staff are nice and knowledgeable about dental care. We moved almost 45 minutes away but we refuse to change to a different dentist.

I love this place, and my kids do too. Dr. MacDonald has a very calming, caring demeanor while giving good advice and very thorough examinations. The staff is helpful and very friendly.

Dr. McDonald and all of the staff make going to the dentist a positive experience. They are patient and kind and make sure the child feels comfortable. I cannot recommend them enough!

This may be a wonderful dental office, but I'll never know since their front desk is completely uncooperative about answering basic questions about pricing for cash-pay patients. Asking for simple transparency about even the basic cost of a simple filling, or the basic cost of administering nitrous, was met with hostility and insults about me shopping for the "cheapest dentist" (which I wasn't), and tells me that this is not going to be an ethical business to work with. Instead, I found a dental office that isn't afraid to be upfront about their pricing, even though I know I can't hold them to anything until they see my child and a treatment plan is determined. I explained to AKP staff that I knew nothing they tell me on the phone is concrete until a treatment plan is created, but despite my very reasonable questions, I continued to be spoken to as if I was Walmart shopping for dental services. At least with the new dentist I found, I feel confident that they aren't going to "make up" prices as they go along, based on whatever they think they can get away with. These medical practitioners who refuse to lift the veil of secrecy around medical service pricing are disgusting. It's such a huge problem in this country, and I shouldn't have to pay 125 for a consultation to have you tell me that a basic filling is charged at either 150 or 800, or that nitrous is 50 or 500. Your costs should be your costs, per treatment line item, PERIOD. This truly isn't complicated if you're operating ethically. Clearly, this practice isn't.

I would not recommend coming here if you are looking to have a tonguelip tie released for your baby. When the evaluation was starting the assistant started asking a bunch of questions that all related to breastfeeding. I answered the best that I could and all of my answers were basically past tense since I was no longer nursing due to the many difficulties I had experienced. The dentist came after and he examined our baby. At the end we mentioned that we mainly bottle feed. Once we said that then he said if that was the case he wouldn't recommend getting it done or basically that there was no point. Why should it matter how they are fed? Our baby has struggled to feed since birth. I literally left here and cried because I thought there was nothing we could do after what he said and that my baby would continue to struggle when trying to eat. Luckily we found a different place to get it done that matched our values.

Dr. McDonald is the best! He and his staff are very thorough and take the time to let my kids warm up and make sure theyre comfortable.
