so I went today for a cleaning oh my gosh it was horrendous, The dental hygienist was so rough on my teeth that I sat in the chair, crying the whole appointment because I was just in so much pain and mind you. I was just getting a basic cleaning done of my teeth and then she tried saying that next time I come, I have to get my braces wires removed so its easier to clean and that if I dont brush my teeth every day three times a day with mouth wash all that keeping up handy tidy, even though my teeth were already clean, she told me that she would personally remove my whole braces set until I learn how to clean my teeth and mind you, I brush my teeth every morning and every night with mouthwash and I make sure I floss it every night so for her to tell me that was really outrageous and then tried scaring me about how my teeth are gonna decay when my teeth are fully white and has zero cavities and zero signs of cavities this is the worst dentist Ive ever gone to my parents switched dentists so we have a better Experience because my last dentist didnt pull my teeth out until I was 14 and in middle school so it was just completely horrendous and I will never go back at least to that location and I might at this point just switched dentist because this was just so horrendous. And it took them 20 minutes to just get me back there for the cleaning. I was at the dentist for two hours when it shouldve only took in 20 minutes and they changed my time six Different times throughout the whole day and so we were unsure when my actual time was gonna be because I was supposed to be at 230 then It changed to one and then It changed back to 130 and then It changed to two again which is the original time and then they called asking if they could have me at 1010 and then They asked if 1110 (mind you it ended up being 1200 and I didnt get back till 1230) would be OK and it was just back-and-forth to changing the time and it was just so horrible and the only person that was kind of me was the doctor and he was kind and everything but the dental hygienist girl was not I just dont recommend this dentist and if my friends ask where to go, Im not recommending this dentist.

This the absolute best dental establishment in Salem. I have been coming here for years and the service and the quality of work is unmatched! The only room for improvement is the front desk staff. They are so rude and dismissive. They are not friendly in anyway they will give you next to no information thats needed. They are just not nice.

My appointment was at 8am for a cleaning and I was seen right away. The hygienist was very kind and made me feel like a person not just someone she had to see. I asked a few questions and they answered and reassured me on each one.

Waited 3 months for a new appointment for my 8-year son. Today they moved the 8am to 130pm, fine. Waited until 2pm to tell me they don't know if the insurance will cover it, and I would have to pay up front. 700. That is just the initial exam. Outrageous! They are short-staffed. good luck, scheduling cleanings out to start December 2025.

There's several reasons why I rate this clinic 3 stars. 1. When calling the dental clinic its hard to actually speak with someone on the phone and you usually have to leave messages. It took 2 days to receive a call back for a message I left for an emergency issue I had. 2. I called and asked for an email address so that I could send an xray image I had from the emergency dentist I went to. I sent that email to have my records updated before my appointment and never received a response. On the day of my appointment (weeks later) my records were never updated. 3. The receptionist(s) seem agitated or irritated and unhappy when you speak to them. 4. During xrays, no lead apron was used. This has happened during 2 out of 3 visits now. 5. A positive to this clinic is that the experience with the dental hygienists are good. They are nice, kind, and friendly.

As another comment says the desk workers didnt go over costs, the other comment reminded me the dentist said they would give me info on two different options and tell me the costs of each. For some reason the desk lady choose my option for me WHAT??? CRAZY! Im going to switch to a different company asap! Still cant beleive how insame doctor if you can call him that being sucha child but Means yes his name what a insance ninkapoop or however youd spell it

Dentist was very nice and took the time to explain things thoroughly. Scheduling certain things like cleaning is ridiculously long, almost a year out. That is crazy.

Ive had an appointment for today December 17, since September 9 when I made it, which was the earliest available. They confirmed my appointment two days ago, I put for and scheduled time off of work got ready to go, its an hour and a half drive for me. 30 minutes before I left, I get a call telling me they canceled my appointment and they wont reschedule, because the dentist I was scheduled to see is leaving their practice in February! Im sure Ill get a message from the owner like they replied to everybody else saying please call the office and talk to the office manager. Shes the one canceling the appointments!! Im pretty sure if I wasnt on state insurance and I was paying cash I wouldve been treated differently, They discriminate against you if you dont have better insurance or a higher status Please dont waist your time here, they dont care about you! Edit see their cut and paste response. Its automatic they dont even care enough to look at their own reviews. Sad

They cancelled an appointment I made with them months ago, 2 hours before the appointment, and said they couldnt reschedule me, because that dentist was leaving their office, Absolutely unprofessional, they even confirmed my appointment a couple of days ago. They dont care about the patience, just the patients money. What other business would stay open if you made appointments months in advance and then canceled them the day the appointment?

The service that has been provided to me is absolutely ridiculous. I was told that I needed to schedule an appointment about six months ago since they were filling up quickly which I did and I called today to see what time the appointment would be at since I had forgotten and they tell me I dont have one and it was probably canceled. Which I had received no notification for or anything, so now I have to possibly wait until next November to receive a teeth cleaning which is ridiculous. The lady who answered the phone call was nice but this whole situation is absolutely ridiculous, so now I have to try and call everyday to get in for a teeth cleaning since they cancelled my appointment.

This office has the nicest most helpful staff I have come across in a very long time. The dentist's are amazing. They have completely changed my outlook on dental practices. Thank you to everyone at the Skyline Liberty Rd South Salem Oregon. You are all phenomenal!

Dr. Petersmidt is AWESOME ..very friendly ..thoughtful and through in all he does. The best dentist hands down! So I went in last week to get my teeth cleaned they said I had X-rays coming no one said that I have out-of-pocket until Medicare in November so I had to pay for that. Then the very next day I got an infection in my mouth. They wouldn't take me for a week I couldn't wait that long. I had to go to urgent care and spend 225 plus 10 for the antibiotic.. and they never answer their phone. The girl that works there even told me that no one wants to work anymore. I'm really close to changing Dentists! . I went for an exam yesterday Nov 19 and Dr petersmidt I heard I had a bad experience with the infection and made sure everything checked out okay. He was very sympathetic. We talked for a bit and they did not charge me for the exam..

This was my first time at the Skyline office. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I was seen soon after arrival. The x-ray tech was efficient and kind. Dr. Peterschmidt kindly explained what treatment is reccomended. The overall experience was better than I expected.

Poor communication about what to expect regarding recovery from procedure. Poor communication with getting a prescription filled for mouth rinse. Team rarely answers phone when calling into office. Either short staffed or lazy. Apologies, I'm frustrated. Edit the number provided in the response just goes to the front desk where staff rarely answers.
