Great group of people taking care of choppers! This is not a paid advertisement and I have not received anything but clean teeth contentment from Tranquility. My hygienist is amazing! No names here because I like that she has some availability when scheduling....

All aspects of my experience showed that tranquility is more than a name for this team of dental professionals. From the time I entered the office until I walked out, every stage of my visit was calm and pleasant. This is the best overall dental experience I've ever received.

I always have a lovely experience at Tranquility Dental Wellness in Tumwater. The staff, hygienists and dentists are always welcoming and show great care and thoughtfulness for my health and well-being.

My husband and I just moved here and needed to get established with a dentist. The hygienist was great. Dr. C on the other hand left much to be desired. It was recommended that I have 3 fillings replaced. My previous dentist let me know that he was watching those to see when they will have to be done, so I agreed. After numbing me, the work was still painful, and I do not feel that Dr. C checked with me to make sure I was properly numb. Once I said something, he did add more numbing, waited a few and then restarted. I was still not numb enough, but it was tolerable. I felt that after the time it took to be relatively properly numb, I felt that Dr. C was rushed. The three fillings are on three teeth right next to each other. Instead of working on them one at a time, he just applied the new filling on all three of them at once and just used floss to make an opening between them. After this I noticed that I could not chew on that side of my mouth with out pain. I called Tranquility Dental and they were able to get me in to see a different dentist (per my request). She did an ok job taking off the excess filling which did help. Afterwards, now that all that is done, I have a hard time flossing between those three teeth as it feels like its getting caught on the filling compound and I am truly nervous that Im going to pull the fill out. I paid for these services that day. A few months later we get a bill for a couple hundred dollars. The billing statements do not explain anything and are not detailed in anyway shape or form. I tried to contact the office 3 times with no response, my husband finally got through to them and was told that when they billed the insurance, they were told by my insurance that my husband was not covered. I contact the insurance and verify that , yes, he is covered. I called the dental office, let them know this and they informed me that they were going to call the insurance to get this straightened out. Have not heard from them in a few weeks, but I was still getting text and email notification that there was still a balance. Nothing had changed. I called my insurance company this morning and it took my insurance company calling the clinic to and was told that the new dental office did a x-ray that is only covered every 3 years, so they couldnt cover that because it was done to soon. Also, my husbands cleaning was not covered as they did not use the correct code. he insurance representative I called then reached out to the clinic, and they refused to change the coding to get more covered. This does not make sense as we both were new patients there and while my husbands cleaning is a little more extensive and my stuff was covered. I paid the bill, but the thing about is that at our previous dentist we NEVER paid that much for just routine cleaning. This experience between the treatments (of us both) and the inept billing, I want to drive over 400 miles to go back to my old dentist where we never had any trouble. So all in all-I will NEVER recommend this place.

My last two visits cleanings have been with professional and thorough hygienist, Tawni. She offered good advice about purchasing a better electric toothbrush--noting the Sonicare provides more thorough cleaning than the Oral B I've used for two decades. Wish I'd known sooner. I would have given 5 stars except for the concerning parting shot after I offered my gratitude for the toothbrush recommendation. She commented with a dire warning and diagnosis I'd never heard before, so I left there unsettled and alarmed. And I felt foolish for the earlier positive personal exchange. Next time, I'll be more measured and I'll request a thorough explanation for the heretofore unheard diagnosis.

One of the best cleanings Ive had in my life. Really gentle and the cleaning was so effective. The closest to tranquility that you can experience at a dental office.

I had been looking to establish care since I wasnt a huge fan of my previous dentist. My first visit I could tell I found a place I felt comfortable. Staff is awesome and the Dr is really cool and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend to anyone who isnt sold on their current dentist.

One of the best things I've done for myself, is taking good care of my teeth. Finding a good dentist is the key to good dental health. I have gone to Dr. Colby Cockrell since he started his practice in Olympia. He has an amazing new office in Tumwater that is unlike any dental office I've been to. It's more like a Spa with hospital standards for cleanliness. I am also lucky to have Sarah as my dental hygienist, she does a complete and thorough exam and cleaning of my teeth. Her expert recommendations on prevention have helped me keep my teeth and night retainer clean. Thank you Dr. Cockrell and Sarah. You are the best!
